 On behalf of the Valley Girls Ride Committee, we invite your participation in our Third Annual Valley Girls Ride, a cycling event hosted by the Central Valley Cycling Charitable Association, which has tax exempt status under Section 501C(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Information regarding our 501C(3) and ID number is included. This year, proceeds from the event will benefit Spirit of Woman of California Inc.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2008, and will offer three courses: a 64-mile metric century, a 35-mile course, and a 20-mile ride for novice cyclists which also has a 10-mile option. All rides will begin and end at Wild Water Adventures, and will include an after ride barbecue. There will be rest stops along the way with music and tasty snacks, and smiling volunteers to serve the riders and make sure that a good time is had by all. We expect approximately 400 participants and numerous volunteers to staff rest stops, provide bike patrol on the courses, serve food at the barbecue, and ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable ride.
The event is being held in honor of Marsha Sorensen, beloved friend, and avid cyclist, whose life was tragically taken as the result of a cycling accident. It was Marsha’s dream to host an annual “all girls” cycling event in the Central Valley--an event that would attract both experienced cyclists and novices.
We are committed to presenting a quality event that will foster a sense of community and bring positive attention to the Valley, but we need your help to achieve our goal. We would like to request a monetary, product, or service donation (see attached form). You may choose to be a Sponsor, Donor, or Supporter. All Sponsors, Donors and Supporters will be listed on our website and event flyers. Levels of sponsorship include the following:
- DIAMOND - You will receive an appreciation plaque, advertising on promotional materials, inclusion in public service announcements, company logo on T-shirts and related items, and your company name on event banners/posters.
- Platinum - You will receive advertising on promotional materials, inclusion in public service announcements, company logo on T-shirts and related items, and your company name on event banners/posters.
- Gold - You will receive advertising on promotional materials, company logo on T-shirts and related items, and your company name on event banners/posters.
- Silver - You will receive advertising on promotional materials and company name on T-shirts and related items.
